About Chef Shane

wine * cheeseExecutive Chef Shane Christoffer has created culinary experiences across Canada for thousands of guests from St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, in New Brunswick to Whistler, in British Columbia. With over 16 years of experience as a chef and an Executive Chef within the restaurant and hospitality industry, Executive Chef Shane has been privileged to work within some of Canada's top resorts and hotels, such as the Fairmont Algonquin Resort, Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel, Queen's Landing Hotel, the Pantages Suites Hotel and the Cosmopolitan Suites Hotel. He now is being inspired in the beautiful Okanagan Valley.

After receiving his Grand Diploma from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Institute at the age of 18, Chef Shane completed his apprenticeship at the world renowned Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Quebec.  Cooking has always come naturally to Shane and he knew at an early age that he would have a future in the culinary arts industry.  As the Executive Chef at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Toronto, they were presented with the prestigious Condé Nast award. 

His inspiration comes from everything he sees, smells, touches and tastes.  Since making his move out West, he is full of new inspiration which comes from the fresh local ingredients and wines of the Okanagan, which he incorporates into his cuisine. Where better to live and expand his ability to master new gastronomic experiences than in the Okanagan Valley.
